ADVANCED SERIES
We offer two intermediate/advanced courses.
Practical Pistol (Intermediate)
This course is designed for the general shooter. It builds new skills and instils core firearm handling techniques. The course encompasses: stance, grip, sight picture and alignment, trigger manipulation and control, reloading, breathing techniques, eye dominance, malfunction clearances, and more. Whether your goal is IPSC or your own personal development, you will learn to fire and manipulate your pistol to a high calibre!
Advanced Pistol (Advanced)
This specialised course focuses on executing the fundamentals with speed, safety and proficiency. It covers firing, immediate action and reloading (tactical, speed and emergency) drills, transitions, positional work, target selection, fast engagement, recoil management, draw and holster techniques, and more. The techniques taught in this course are designed to challenge you, instil confidence in your abilities and enhance the manipulation of your pistol. As this is advanced training we require you to have first completed the Practical Pistol course.
NOTE
We provide firearms for your use during our training courses. Please discuss with us if you would like to use your own firearms during any of our training courses.
All courses include an ammunition allowance. If you wish to use more, additional ammunition is available to purchase at a reasonable cost.
At High Calibre, we believe in hands-on learning. While our courses are practical-intensive, they also include a small theory component. We work hard to ensure these elements are relevant and engaging.
