What is a Public Safety Course?
A public firearms safety course (11029NAT Course in Firearms and Weapons Safety — required to apply for a firearm licence) is conducted on a scheduled weekend, with between 20-25 members of the public attending and has an approximate duration of 9-10 hours. A public course is our most economical safety course option.
What if I need other options?
- Don’t have an entire day to spare?
- Don’t like group settings?
- Not available on weekends?
- Shift or FIFO worker?
- Want to do the course with friends or family?
- Don’t want to wait OR need certification ASAP?
If this sounds like you, see our Private Safety Course (1-on-1 / Small Group Course) options.
